Why CDF is BetterThan Twilight1. Names: Darren Shan came up with names. Stephenie Meyer borrowed the names from her family and friends. Not to mention the main character's name: Bella Swan, literally "Beautiful Swan". Darren Shan's main character is, well, Darren Shan.
